Trump says U.S. will deal "very strongly" with N. Korea

U.S. President Donald Trump indicated Monday he will employ a
tough stance on North Korea in the wake of its test-firing of a
ballistic missile the previous day.

"Obviously North Korea is a big, big problem and we will deal
with that very seriously," Trump said in a joint news conference with
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after their meeting at the
White House.

Trump did not comment further about the first provocative act
since he took office on Jan. 20.

Earlier Monday, North Korea announced through its official media
that it has successfully test-fired a new medium- to long-range
ballistic missile.

The launch came as Trump was hosting Japanese Prime Minister
Shinzo Abe on Saturday local time at his Mar-a-Lago vacation estate
in Florida. (Feb. 13)
