$1 Aikido Trial Lessons

  • Camelot Park Community Center 1005 East Suffield Drive Arlington Heights, IL, 60004 United States (map)

Adam Sorkin, a Chicago JET alumni and Chief Instructor at Northwest Aikido, is offering some aikido "trial classes" during the holiday season. This is a trial class to give you a bite-sized experience of what training in aikido is like. If you'd like to continue, regular classes are available. Aikido is a Japanese non-competitive martial art that uses throws, joint locks and pins to redirect the force of aggressors. Training in aikido builds confidence, discipline, balance, core strength, and coordination. Some of the things you can expect during class include stretching and deep breathing, strength-building exercises, and basic aikido technique. Anyone over the age of 13 can participate.

Hours: 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Cost: $1
