Fundamentals of Kanji Workshops (Online)

Why is stroke order important? Why are there multiple readings of the same Kanji? Is there an efficient and less painful way to learn new ones? What can I do to overcome my “Kanji allergy?” Join these fun, hands-on workshops for adult learners (ages 16 and up) by the Japan Society and get a jumpstart toward reading and writing Japanese with more confidence. For students in Levels 1–4, these workshops are a perfect introduction to Kanji. For students in Levels 5–9, these workshops will be an excellent opportunity to revisit the fundamentals of Kanji to reinforce your existing and future Kanji knowledge.

Hours: Part 1 (Jan. 6) and Part 2 (Jan. 13), 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Chicago time (conducted online via Zoom)

Cost: Japan Society member $30; nonmember $37
