Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake, who died in August 2022, learned from a variety of artists across the world, including Isamu Noguchi, Madeleine Vionnet, Constantin Brancusi, and Alberto Giacometti. In this online lecture, Gillion Carrara, Professor Adjunct of Art history at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, will discuss the legacy of Issey Miyake.
