Moon Viewing Tea Ceremony

Enjoy observing Reiko Takahashi, Ikenobo Ikebana instructor, arrange Kenka, a flower offering to the Moon. Then, Professor Emeritus Kimiko Gunji will perform Kencha, a tea ceremony to serve a bowl of tea to the Moon. Tea and a Tsukimi Manju (Special Sweet for the moon-viewing) will be served to you.  Music will be played with a Shakuhachi (Bamboo Flute) By Omar Francis while you wait for the moon to rise. Ikebana arrangements created by members of the Anderson Gardens Ikebana Study Group and the Ikebana de Salon Chicago will be on Display. Guests may arrive starting at 6:30 PM to view the displays as well as speak with the artists about their pieces.
