Forteza Fitness, The Chicago Swordplay Guild and the Japanese Culture Center present the Wandering Warriors Tournament & Benefit: a tournament featuring practitioners of traditional Italian, Japanese, and various African martial arts. Fights are decided by the spectators! A list of fighters from all organizations will be on display at the front desk and spectators can donate money to the event to see specific fighters face off. Before they could complete their training, warriors in both Eastern and Western martial traditions were compelled to travel away from their homes to seek tutelage under other masters, exposure to diverse traditions and cultures, and opportunities to do good works while on this journey. In honor of this shared tradition of the warrior’s pilgrimage, we present: Wandering Warriors Tournament and Benefit and hope you'll join us for a celebration of diversity, swordsmanship, and service to the greater community.
