In Loving Memory of Yoshiko Sugano 2/28/1930-11/4/2023
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Yoshiko Sugano at the age of 93.
She was born in Fukushima, Japan on February 28, 1930 to Kiyoshi and Kura Abe. Preceded in passing by late husband Tadao Sugano and daughter Susan Sugano. Survived by her brother Kuniji Abe, her children Sandra Sugano-Haddadin (Tamer) and Anna Sugano and grandchildren Brian and Allan and great grandchildren Brandon, Mason, Millicent.
She leaves behind a legacy of unwavering strength, determination, and love. Yoshiko was a woman who truly embodied the spirit of resilience and stubbornness in the face of life's challenges. As a mother, Yoshiko was a force of nature. She was always fiercely protective, demanding nothing but the best for her loved ones. Her stubbornness was driven by a deep love and desire to see her family succeed and thrive. She instilled in her children the importance of hard work, integrity, and never giving up, values that will continue to shape their lives for generations to come. Her determination was a guiding force in her life, and she passed on that very trait to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Yoshiko Sugano. Condolences can be sent to Lakeview Funeral Home 1458 W. Belmont Ave. Chicago, IL 60657.
