Applications for the 7th annual Heritage Japanese Language Speech Contest are open! Submit your application by 2pm on Monday, January 16 via e-mail or mail-in. This contest is open to all students who are enrolled in elementary school, middle school, high school, or college in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Category 1 is for non-native speakers of Japanese and heritage Japanese learners, and Category 2 is for those who have not schooled in Japan for more than two years in total after the age of 6.
